The signature ‘North Star’ motif reflects a number of themes prominent in the brand. Firstly it serves as an allusion to our situation in the Highlands, in the far north of the British Isles. Inspired by a compass rose, it alludes to the spirit of enterprising endeavour and internationalism that underpins much of the Dalvey design philosophy.

Much like the great entrepreneurs of the C18th Scottish Enlightenment and those of the later global Scottish Diaspora, Sir Patrick has instilled a culture of export and of drawing together craft skills native to a variety of countries.
